Dear students,

welcome to the course "Intercultural Challenge"! What an exciting topic!

In the course, we will first talk about theories to analyse culture (developed by researchers such as Hofstede, Trompenaar, Hall, or Lewis) , and about an approach to interpret cultures (D'Iribarne). Then, we will - with a lot of case studies and (social) media usage, deal with questions like

  • culture and stereotypes
  • intercultural communication patterns
  • culture and consumer behaviour, and more.

I will make sure to provide you with lots of insights into 20 years of working in international business.

At the end, you are requested to write an a seminar paper.
